Butterfly House at the Mosquito Hill Nature
Center may be one of the best kept secrets
in the region. Children as well as adults
find the Butterfly House a popular destination.

the The Butterfly House
The
Butterfly House is open seasonally on Wednesday,
Saturday and Sunday from 11AM-3PM. A $1.00
donation is requested to help offset the
cost of maintenance. The Butterfly House
usually closes for the season in early September
of every year and reopens again in late
spring or early summer.
All
of your senses will be heightened as you
enjoy the wind, the plants, the animals
and other natural beauties at Mosquito Hill.
There are several trails to enjoy including
the Wet Meadow Trail which is designed to
accommodate the use of wheelchairs and walkers.
The
Mosquito Hill Nature Center features outdoor
as well as indoor exhibits. Trails are open
during daylight hours 365 days a year except
when gun deer season is open. Indoor exhibits
are open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00
AM - 4:30 PM. It is recommended that you
phone ahead to assure the interpretive building
will be available when you visit. (920)
